When The Petals Fall
Sometimes the hardest moments in life are the ones no one else can see.
When the Petals Fall is a deeply reflective piano solo about vulnerability and the quiet journey back towards hope.
Gentle melodies unfold with patience and restraint, creating space for emotions that are often difficult to put into words. Although inspired by a personal experience, the music leaves space for every listener to discover their own story within it.
Behind the piece:
Released • January 30 2026
When the Petals Fall was written during a period when life felt as though it had quietly fallen apart. From the outside, everything may have appeared unchanged, but inwardly it felt as though the petals had fallen, leaving something bare, exposed and vulnerable.
That image became the heart of the piece. Falling petals are often seen as something beautiful, but they can also represent loss, uncertainty and the quiet moments when life no longer feels quite as it did before.
Although the music was finished many months before its release, I chose to wait. I wanted to share it only once my own petals had begun to return. Looking back, I’m glad I did. The piece remains one of the most deeply personal compositions I’ve written, but I hope listeners find their own meaning within it, whatever season of life they may be walking through.
