Meet Elizabeth

Music has always been the way I make sense of the world.

Music is not only my passion, but also my career.
I teach piano to wonderful students of all ages, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about watching them grow in confidence and become the musicians they hope to be.

Away from the piano, life is wonderfully ordinary. I love spending time with my family and our mischievous Bengal cats.

You’ll often find me paddleboarding on the sea or a quiet lake, enjoying live music at festivals, or settling in to watch Formula 1 on a Sunday afternoon.

I find inspiration in all sorts of places. Sometimes it’s a landscape, sometimes a conversation, sometimes simply a quiet moment that stays with me long after the day has ended. Those small moments often become the starting point for a new composition.

I hope you enjoy the photographs and this little glimpse into my world.

The Studio

This is my happy place.

A place to teach, write, record.

The studio is an oasis of calm in my garden.

I have two pianos. A Yamaha U1 acoustic – generally used by my piano students.

I also have a Kawai DG30 digital piano which I use during lessons to play duets or demonstrate on.

This is the piano I use to compose and record, as I can plug it directly into my recording software.

It’s where almost every piece begins.

Meet the Bengals: Padme, Lando and Leia

I’m never sure if they help or hinder the creative process.

Definitely, they help to create a calm atmosphere at times. Other times they are just pure mischief!

They have certainly provided inspiration for some of my music.

My students all adore them as they wander in and out through the day while I’m teaching. They each have their favourite students and have an uncanny knack of arriving to meet them at their lesson time.

Meet The Family

I am married to Simon, and we have a son, Ethan, aged 21 and a daughter, Anna, aged 18.

I am blessed with a wonderful family. They support everything I do, and I owe them a lot of thanks.

Whenever technology decides not to cooperate, Simon is usually the one who comes to the rescue.

My children are absolutely brilliant at advising on Social Media.
Without them, I would have no clue what I am doing on TikTok, or the difference on Instagram between a post, reel, story, and highlight.

Out On The Water

I just adore paddleboarding.

The calm feeling of standing on the open water on a still day. Or the adrenaline rush of trying to stay upright on a choppy sea. Every time it’s different.

It’s also great at the end of the day to ditch the board and go for a swim in the open water.

It’s no surprise that the sea, rivers and open landscapes often find their way into the music I write.
