Windswept Shores

When the wind meets the sea, everything feels a little more alive.

Windswept Shores evokes the feeling of standing beside an open coastline, where the sea stretches towards the horizon and the wind moves freely across the shore.

There is something timeless about the meeting of sea and sky – a sense of space, movement and freedom that seems to stretch far beyond the shoreline.

The idea for Windswept Shores began with the gentle dance of the sea and wind along the shore.

I wanted to capture that feeling in music without making the piece dramatic or forceful.

The piece gradually builds in depth, allowing the harmonies and textures to create the feeling of wind moving across the water before gently settling again.

For me, it is a piece about the quiet freedom of being beside the sea, where the landscape seems to stretch endlessly into the distance.
