This piece has a rather unusual history.
I started composing in my teens, but I rarely wrote my music down in those days. So I was surprised to find the first page of Summer Rain tucked away in a file of things from my childhood.
The page was dated 1987, which would have made me about fifteen.
It was just the first page, and the piece was complete in miniature. But I felt I now had something to add. So in 2022, some 35 years later, the adult in me completed what the child began.
