The Quiet Within was written as an exploration of space and restraint.
Rather than relying on complexity, the piece allows simple musical ideas to unfold naturally, giving each phrase time to breathe before the next begins.
In many ways, it reflects my approach to composing. I believe music doesn’t always need to fill every moment.
Sometimes it’s the space between the notes that allows a melody to settle, breathe and truly be heard.
