Before It Fades was written as a commissioned piece for ad21, a Barcelona-based record label, as part of Summer Sketches Vol. 1, a collection bringing together short piano works inspired by summer and the fleeting moments that come with it.
The piece reflects on that familiar feeling of wanting to hold onto a moment just a little longer. A gentle melody unfolds over flowing piano figures, creating a sense of warmth and movement before gradually fading away, much like a memory that remains with us even after the moment itself has passed.
